The talk will examine the protocols and disconnections that mediate between contemporary art and art history; it will consider art history as a possible object of institutional critique and certain works or practices whose operation is to negotiate their participation to a future discourse of art history, while questioning the mechanisms of validation and exclusion in the discipline.
